Dr. Stuart S. Malawer is the Distinguished Service Professor of Law and International Trade at George Mason University (School of Public Policy). He has a law degree from the Cornell Law School and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania (a joint degree with the Wharton School and Graduate School). He also studied at Harvard Law School and Oxford University (St. Peter’s College). Dr. Malawer serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. He was appointed by the former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine. He is the author of three recent books on the World Trade Organization and U.S. national security law, ang globaltrade and international law published by Wm. S. Hein and Company. He is a former Chairman of the International Practice Section of the Virginia State Bar.
